This blog was originally set up for me to vent and discuss everything from the diagnosis of Cancer to the Chemotherapy and Radiation Treatments and side effects and how I felt each and every moment during those five weeks.
I am now continuing with a creative twist. I am keeping the blog title and adding stress, stupidity and anything else that comes to mind on any given day.
It amazes me that some people can be so two faced it's practically transparent. One cannot decide to take the law into ones own hands just because one has money and thinks it's okay. How does one sleep at night? Wasting money through the legal system for a whole year is another part of the holier than thou stupidity. One should not make unilateral decisions to benefit the selfishness of ones self or the cluelessness (I realize that's not a word, but it best describes the thought) of ones selfish partner.
Then there's the one who doesn't want to live up to one's responsibility as a co-parent, ex-spouse or whatever. It amazes me how some can conjure up lies so naturally. It amazes me further how one can choose to use children to get an ex-spouse upset or make them suffer, knowing full well that nothing else could. Who do you think suffers more, the ex-spouse....maybe a bit, but the kids....one hundred percent.
They are so young and so defenseless. How can they be expected to understand the cruelty of one parent against the other? When there is more than one child, how can they or anyone understand the hurt and abuse imposed on the child who is treated so differently than that of his/her sibling by a parent who is supposed to love them equally? How can they be expected to understand the legal system? How can the courts allow "joint custody"? When both parents don't get along, how can the court think that the parents would be able to come to any kind of agreement regarding the children, when one parent holds so much bitterness and venom?
We should do away with "Joint Custody" which by the way, only deals with decision making where children are concerned. "Joint Access" is about time spent with the children.
How does one feel after a year of starting a legal process (strictly to scare the ex-spouse, not expecting a defense or retaliation) spending all that money, only to settle in the eleventh hour to where everything is exactly what it was before one began the whole ridiculous process. How does one feel when everything is exactly as it was with the exception of a couple of legal representatives who are now that much wealthier? Not so good, I would imagine.
Some unsolicited advice: concentrate on happiness, enjoy what you have, stay healthy, reduce stress (as much as is within your control), live, love and laugh.
